The Association of Fundraising Professionals San Antonio Chapter advances philanthropy by educating people and organizations to practice ethical and effective fundraising.
Vision Statement
By 2013, the Chapter will be an effective, stable, and sustainable organization
in which the quality of member benefits consistently exceed members’ expectations.
Chapter’s Core Values – the guiding principles and most essential beliefs of the Chapter. Six values ware recommended and adopted:
- Collaboration – Recognize that we can better accomplish our purpose with the strong support of and partnership with other individuals and groups.
- Education – The assurance of relevant and high-quality educational opportunities for fundraising professionals at all career points and in all staff roles.
- Ethics – Universal adherence to the AFP Code of Ethical Principals and Standards, and ensure fundraising professionals are informed of ethical fundraising practices and the tenets of the Donor Bill of Rights.
- Inclusiveness – Embrace ALL fundraising professionals, seek diversity, and encourage ALL to become active participants in the Chapter.
- Philanthropy – Recognize that philanthropy is transforming to both the giver and receiver and is what truly changes the world.
- Professionalism – Adhere to best practices that are essential and critical to the advancement of philanthropy.
