Who We Are

For over 25 years, AFP San Antonio has supported the missions of nonprofits in San Antonio and the surrounding communities by helping them achieve their fundraising goals more efficiently and effectively.  Education and training provide our members with the latest in fundraising innovations, keeping them apprised of trends in the philanthropic sector, and helps them adjust their operations and use limited resources in the most efficient and productive manner possible. 
 
From a modest beginning of 24 founding members in 1984, membership in AFP San Antonio has grown to almost 300 members today.  Members of AFP San Antonio receive numerous benefits, and members consistently cite networking opportunities, building friendships with colleagues, and excellent programs as the top benefits they receive by being a member of this Chapter. Service to our members is our primary mission, and since 1984, AFP San Antonio serves its members with an unwavering commitment to the highest ethical standards, and the most exciting and cutting-edge educational and professional advancement opportunities.
 
AFP, both nationally and locally, strengthens the profession through public outreach to increase our communities’ understanding of the positive economic impact of the charitable sector and the fundraising profession as well as increasing public trust in fundraising.
