Mentoring
AFP's Chapter Leader Mentoring Program fosters a teaching relationship between experienced chapter leaders and newer members. The program provides one-on-one mentoring and training that helps ensure that all participating nonprofit organizations, and especially those that perform with limited staff, have the best professional fundraisers.
Mentors, senior fundraising professionals who volunteer their time, commit to meet face-to-face regularly with their Mentees to assist with specific fundraising and career development issues. Mentees represent a wide range of experiences, organization types, and budget sizes including Development Directors who work alone in a small office, Executive Directors who spend a large amount of time fundraising and individuals new to the field of fundraising.
