Youth in Philanthropy
The Committee on Youth in Philanthropy works to meet annual goals of the AFP Youth in Philanthropy program.
Program goals include:
- developing youth leadership, facilitating youth-driven philanthropy.
- promoting youth awareness of the “common good” and social responsibility.
- expanding youth horizons about careers in the philanthropic and nonprofit sectors.
- increasing youth knowledge about the nonprofit sector and local community needs.
Chairs and committee members serve as mentors and models for the AFP Youth in Philanthropy Program by displaying a high level of professionalism in all personal and professional situations. Through their efforts, the Chapter increases visibility for philanthropy and the fundraising profession and helps to develop future donors, volunteers and fundraisers.
